Privacy Control grants users control over what files to delete on a very colorful and nice user interface. The software is so easy to install and configure. The software package also has a whopping set of plugins. You can choose from a variety of modes like stealth mode, preview mode and high performance mode. It is also among the few unique privacy controls software that can remove MS office history. It works without any problems with major browsers. Against its more popular competitors however, Privacy Control is at a disadvantage when it comes to usage of terms. A lot of its menu terms would most likely have novices type the terms in Google to search for their definition. Also, technical support is only available through email, so there is a good chance for you to wait for a few days for an answer from them, also through email.

Effectiveness:

This program should have a top five status compared with the rest of the privacy controls software out there when it comes to effectiveness. High performance mode lets you delete both file and directory structures where hidden information could remain after an initial cleanup.

Ease of use:

It is very easy to use as long as you can come to terms with the software’s menu terms and if techie lingo is your lingo. If you do understand the terms, the software won’t fail securing your privacy online.

Value:

This program is on the not expensive yet high performing side of the privacy controls spectrum. It does not have the technical support provided for ParetoLogic but it can almost compete with it in performance. Standard price is $29.95.
