CyberScrub Overview:
You know good software when you see one. The latest version of CyberScrub has a very sophisticated looking interface that is at the same time user-friendly. The user is eased into the installation by very helpful setup wizard screens. Similar wizard screens guide you through both basic and advanced scans on your PC. It is compatible with popular browsers and is among the few privacy controls software that supports plugins from mail applications like Outlook Express, Netscape Mail and Eudora. Files and even drives can be easily scanned and cleaned. A good feature in CyberScrub is the ability to scramble file and folder proprieties. It can scramble the filename, the date, size etc., making it nearly impossible for data recovery tools to get meaningful information. CyberScrub takes pride in being the only software to have the ISAAC random number generator – a cryptography tool that generates almost random numbers. Most users would probably want to know what they’re going to remove from their PC before they remove it. If you are one of most users then you would probably find a missing feature in CyberScrub disappointing. CyberScrub does not let you view the files you are about to delete before you actually delete them. All you get is a confirmation that files are going to be deleted and that they have been deleted. In other words, you are just going to have to trust the program to do its job without compromising the important files in your computer. Effectiveness: Does it run quickly on your PC? If you compare it with other privacy software by, say, running them on different computers, given the same PC specifications, it is one the fastest and most thorough performers. Ease of use: With a user-friendly look, simple yet detailed documentation, the program should be among the easiest privacy controls software around. There’s little chance of users ever needing support, but if you do, support is available through email by filling out an online form. It can be categorized as belonging to the advanced level of effectiveness in terms of efficiently deleting unwanted files. Value: You can get this package plus all its bells and whistles for $59.95. Recommended? CyberScrub is not our top choice for a history eraser. If you’re curious about our test of other history erasers, you can find our results here: We recommend you DO NOT pay for any program that claims to erase your history until you read those results. - Do Not Pay For CyberScrub Until You Read This
